About Three Day Week
Three Day Week (AKA 3 Day Week) are a 1970's band based in Bristol. We were cryogenically frozen in 1980 as we didn't want to live in a decade where Chris de Burgh was famous.
Eventually, Dave's wife needed some shelves putting up, so she thawed us out in 2016 and we played a gig. Since then she's been trying to freeze us again (Dave is not good at DIY...). While we miss the 70s, our mojos have developed a love of freedom and we've been evading capture ever since, bringing the 70s back to life by playing cover versions of classic glam and kitch songs from that most musical of decades.

We are available for hire to play anywhere in the UK. All our performances are a tribute to the 1970s - they are entertaining and the focus is always on fun. Gigging in the far reaches of the UK also helps us hide from those who find us annoying and preferred life when we were frozen.
If you would like to book us for a gig, party or event of any kind, please contact us.
You can learn more by visiting the Three Day Week website (which is often horrendously out-of-date because lead singers should not be left in charge of things that need updating regularly) or visiting Three Day Week on Facebook - please like us!

Videos
Here's some 3 Day Week video joy.
Crazy COVID
Cryogenically frozen 1970s rock band, 3 Day Week, were thawed out only to find themselves in lockdown. Frustrated beyond measure, they wrote a completely original song that was not in any way influenced by The Osmonds ‘Crazy Horses’ as a way to chronicle the situation in an accurate, unbullshitly fashion so that historians of the future could learn the truth. Everyone knows YouTube will survive the apocalypse. Zombies have to watch something.
So, here is 'Crazy COVID'.

If you'd like to sing along, here are the lyrics:
Crazy COVID Lyrics
There’s a virus floatin’ in the air, COVID-19 flyin’ everywhere.
It’s called Corona, it’s on every tongue, gotta stop that COVID-19 on the run.
What a shit show, it goes spreadin’ from this guy, yeah... COVID-19 got a carrier, and it’s you and I.
COVID-19 – wah, wha.
COVID-19.
Never stops, we’re gonna die, we just keep on coughin’ and it multiplies.
COVID-19, will it never halt? It keeps on movin’ and it’s all our fault.
What a shit show, it goes spreadin’ from this guy, yeah... COVID-19 got a carrier, and it’s you and I.
So take a good long lock down, see that we’re done, we’re done, we’re done, we’re done, we’re done.
COVID-19 – wah, wha.
COVID-19.
COVID-19 – wah, wha.
COVID-19.
New Year’s Eve 2020 (I Wanna Be Sedated (and Vaccinated))
As the end of 2020 (The Year of the Plague) draws near, 1970s kitsch glam rock band Three Day Week decided to celebrate the joy of a locked-down Christmas and New Year by writing a completely original song that was not in any way influenced by the Ramones ‘I Wanna Be Sedated’ and recording it in one take (efficiency is important when you only work 3 days a week) to chronicle the shituation utilising lava lamps, glitter balls and cutting-edge 70s video technology and, as they are idiots, decided to write the entire video description in one long sentence so it's really easy to read, because they always think about their audience and never about themselves; they also lobbed some punctuation that no one knows how to use at the end of the sentence to elongate it in an unnecessarily annoying manner.
So, here is a song with a pointlessly long title: 'New Year's Eve 2020 (I Wanna Be Sedated (and Vaccinated))'. Enjoy. And give us a like, thanking you muchly.

New Year’s Eve 2020 (I Wanna Be Sedated (and Vaccinated)) Lyrics
2020 : 24 hours to go, it's like I've been sedated,
Nowhere to go, I had to stay home, it's all been backdated.
So get me out of lockdown, want normality again, hurry hurry hurry, before I go insane, everything this year has all gone down the drain, whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa hey.
2020 : 24 hours to go, I wanna be sedated,
Nothing to do I'm just gonna moan, locked down & frustrated.
So get me to the bathroom, pretend I'm on the stage, hurry hurry hurry, before I go insane, give me a guitar, I've forgotten how to play, whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa hey.
2020 : 24 hours to go, excommunicated,
No one to meet 'cept zoom on my phone, it's all pixelated.
So get me to the session and get me to the zone, hurry hurry hurry, before I get corone, can't control my life, can't control my phone, whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa hey.
2020 : 24 hours to go, New Year celebrate it,
Better news now, be sorted by spring, get me vaccinated.
So get me to my front room, get the party on, hurry hurry hurry, I need to have some fun, does it really matter we gonna go loco, whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa hey.
Bah bah ba-bah, b-bah bah ba-bah, I wanna be sedated,
Bah bah ba-bah, b-bah bah ba-bah, I wanna be sedated,
Bah bah ba-bah, b-bah bah ba-bah, I wanna be sedated,
Bah bah ba-bah, b-bah bah ba-bah, I wanna be sedated.

This website was established in 2011. In 2024, it was redesigned. Between 2011 and 2024, thousands of people left comments. I’d like to thank every person for their engagement – it’s greatly appreciated.
When the website was rebuilt, transferring comments comprising hundreds of thousands of words was not feasible. I may re-publish the old Three Day Week page comments here at some point. In the meantime, new comments can be left below.
