The Third Album by Hard Rock / Heavy Metal Band Little Villains Achtung Minen
"A rebel rousing 15-track rock monster that seems set to conquer the metal universe… it's rock n' roll-infused metal with a strong focus on groove… Bassist James Childs also sings and his vocals sound uncannily like Frank Turner while guitarist Owen Childs is busy mining his instrument for incendiary riffs as drummer Chris Fielden sets about nailing his kit to the studio floor… the future belongs to the Little Villains."
Alex Novak, Pulse-Alternative Magazine

Reviews
"Achtung Minen bludgeons you with riffs, it's brilliant. It's my featured album of the month. Highly, highly recommended – it’s just a great album, a great bit of metal, great fun." The Druids Dozen #24 by Jon Wisbey AKA The Rock Druid, DJ of The Sunday Rock Show on BCFM Radio and The Rock Druid Show on Astro Radio.
"A rebel rousing 15 track rock monster that seems set to conquer the metal universe… it's rock n' roll infused metal with a strong focus on groove… Bassist James Childs also sings and his vocals sound uncannily like frank turner while guitarist Owen Childs is busy mining his instrument for incendiary riffs as drummer Chris Fielden sets about nailing his kit to the studio floor… the future belongs to the Little Villains." Pulse-Alternative Magazine, written by Alex Novak.
"Pulse-Alternative Magazine describes Little Villains as ‘possibly the greatest band you’ve never heard’. Unfamiliar with their first two albums, I come to their third with a fresh pair of ears – and I’m not disappointed. The first thing I notice about ‘ACHTUNG MINEN’ is how unlike anything else it is. Trio, James Childs (vocals/bass), Owen Childs (guitar) and Chris Fielden (drums) list bands such as Motorhead, AC/DC and Iron Maiden as their influences but this isn’t overtly obvious on a first listen. I’ve not played a vinyl LP in decades and I’m surprised when I have to turn the disc over – this album doesn’t drag its heels: guitars, drums and vocals don’t try to compete with each other, they just get on with the job of delivering raw and unpretentious rock and roll. It’s side two where I catch a whiff of Sex Pistols on 'Hawker Hurricane' and again on 'Big Ben', which pays homage to ‘God Save The Queen’. There are echoes of psychedelia here too, on tracks such as the riff-driven 'Motherhead'; title track 'Achtung Minen' has shades of Buffalo Springfield and I find myself whistling along. When side two ends, I flip the record and start again. Achtung Minen! was recorded in Los Angeles just before the pandemic locked everything down. Listening to Little Villains is like going down the pub with your mates to watch a really cool band and that’s something music lovers need right now." Dylan Shan, independent music reviewer for Buzz Magazine
"This is a tight and well-made album that should appeal to those with a taste for late 70's and early 80's hard rock. Those among them who love Motörhead will get some additional ear candy to enjoy. There are cuts with a hard rock feel to them, as well as those with a more punk rock tinge that feature a booming bass guitar as a driving element. Whimsical, tongue-in-cheek spoken words dominate the concluding track 'On the Fields of Cleckhuddersfax', which is my personal highlight of this production. I suspect most metal fans with a taste for good and bad humour will chuckle through this one each and every time they listen to it.” Viking in the Wilderness, review written by Olav M. Björnsen
"Ultimately, the air you breathe while listening to the songs on the record is that of rock with wide facets played honestly by three people who live on the road, arrive, attack the amps and make their performance." All Around Metal, review written by Corrado Franceschini.

The CD is excellent... Philthy would be proud.

Thanks Chris, that means a lot \m/

Hi Chris. I'm very impressed. Bass, guitar and drums are my favourite format and you three have got a good tight sound. There are 3 or 4 tracks that stand out to me, 'Motherhead' (sic) being my current favourite.
Influences I hear (and you lot would probably disagree) are Motorhead (obviously) AC/DC (the riffs), Metallica, The Sex Pistols and a band I used to really like called The Meteors. All good stuff.
Well, hopefully, by the end of next year, you will be on the road again and I'll check if you're anywhere near us.
Chris Fielden
Hi Ian. Awesome, thanks for that. Glad you’re enjoying the album. You’ve hit the proverbial nail on the head with those influences, although I would add Iron Maiden and The Stranglers to the list. I’m not overly familiar with The Meteors, but having just listened to a couple of their tunes on YouTube, I can totally see where you’re coming from with that.
Yes, fingers crossed for gigs at some point in 2021. We’ll have to see how things go with these vaccines I guess.
Anyways. Thanks for supporting us and buying the CD – it’s very much appreciated.
