Disclosure Policy
Disclosure Policy Overview
This website is written and edited by me (Christopher Fielden). This is my disclosure policy. The vast majority of the content is provided to users free of charge. To help make this viable, I accept revenue from advertising, affiliate links, sponsorship, paid insertions and other income streams. The compensation received will never influence the content I produce.
Most of the advertising is in the form of advertisements generated by a third party ad network called Google AdSense.
Some of adverts within the pages on this website use affiliate links. This means I may be compensated if consumers choose to utilise the links and generate sales for the merchant. Even though I may receive compensation for certain posts or advertisements, I will always give my honest opinion about any products or services mentioned on my website.
The views and opinions expressed on this blog are entirely my own. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider or party in question.
Adverts and affiliate links do not cost my users anything. I simply receive commission, paid to me by the advertising platform or affiliate company in question.
I have written an epic blog post about how I make money via my writing and blog. It's titled 'How To Make Money Blogging & Writing'. That post explains advertising and affiliate work in far more detail.

Many advertise for free, via my lists of writing competitions, but I do work with a small percentage of these as an affiliate. Some brands also pay for featured listings, which are more prominent and detailed than the free listings. The brands that I work with change on a regular basis, so it is impossible to keep a full list here. If you would like to know who I currently work with, please contact me.
Donations
Rather than charging a fee to access my website, I accept donations. Some of my users are very generous and donate regularly to help me stay afloat. I use PayPal to manage this. Donation buttons appear on a few of the pages on this website. The most prominent donation button is on my homepage.
Guest Posts
I do publish posts and articles by guest writers. They are carefully vetted.
I do not accept posts from brands/agencies that are advertorial or offer payment to be hosted on my site.
You can learn more by reading my website's submission guidelines.

Comments
This website was established in 2011. In 2024, it was redesigned. Between 2011 and 2024, thousands of people left comments. I’d like to thank every person for their engagement – it’s greatly appreciated.
When the website was rebuilt, transferring comments comprising hundreds of thousands of words was not feasible. I may re-publish the old Disclosure Policy page comments here at some point. In the meantime, new comments can be left below.
